Dr. Margaret O'Reilly-Allen

Chairperson

Dr. O’Reilly-Allen has been a member of the Rider Community since 1991. She teaches the laptop based undergraduate introductory financial and managerial accounting courses, Cost Management and the graduate course Issues in Financial Reporting.   She has also led business study tours to Spain and Italy. She is also the Director of the Accounting Internship Program.

O’Reilly-Allen has been a past recipient of three Davis Research Fellowships and researches primarily in the areas of the information content of various auditor reports and teaching effectiveness.  Her work has appeared in publications including Journal of Accounting, Auditing and Finance, The CPA Journal, American Business Review, and the International Journal of Finance.

She is a member of the American Accounting Association, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Beta Alpha Psi (Accounting Honors Society), and the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs, and is a past editor of the Pennsylvania CPA Journal.
