Executives-In-Residence Program
Another way Rider University seeks to differentiate the Executive MBA program is by our executives-in-residence program, which is implemented during the second half of each EMBA program. The executive-in-residence is a senior level executive who is currently employed in a position that is relevant to the course being taught. For example, if the course is in finance, the executive may be a CFO of a local firm. These individuals will work alongside of the course instructor and commit to attend at least 50% of the course meetings. Their role with the students is to provide a real world, senior executive view of the application of the course content in the business environment. This might be accomplished, for example, by the executive leading a confidential discussion about a current, course related business problem that they are dealing with (or have recently dealt with) and the strategies and actions that may be employed to solve the problem. Or, they may be involved by providing leadership in discussions of current trends in applying course concepts within organizations. The executive will also work with the instructor to provide suggestions regarding either current or future course content.

The Leadership Edge
One way Rider University seeks to differentiate the Executive MBA program is by offering leadership and management development to students with a real-time, practical approach.  This differentiator and developmental component is referred to as “The Leadership Edge.” As students reflect on self assessments completed as part of the EMBA program, they would then be able to leverage The Leadership Edge component by choosing one of three options as their best method of developing leadership and management skills fill the gap. Those students valuing more interpersonal interactions would have the option of group sessions; students tackling challenging organizational situations could exercise individual (private) coaching and students seeking to combine work/school goals would have the option of working with an EMBA instructor/coach to fulfill an independent study.
